A local bar located at the top of the medieval Zakerjan Tower in Korcula

Well I made it to the island of Korcula, a small island with a town by the same name.
The above picture is a local bar located at the top of the medieval Zakerjan Tower in Korcula.
Spent a night and a bit of the day here and then headed over to Hvar.

Dubrovnik Croatia
THURSDAY, JUNE 19, 2008

Dubrovnik is my final stop on this 7 day Mediterranean cruise that I started in Venice last week. It's been a great cruise so far and my only complaint is it's not long enough. It does give you a taste of different cultures and leaves you wanting more, so maybe another trip is needed sometime in the future, will see what my bosses have to say about that idea.

Split, Croatia
SATURDAY, JUNE 14, 2008

Split, Croatia I drove from Zadar to an area called Rogoznica and then sailed the coast to Split, truly amazing scenery. National Geographic Traveler Magazine named Croatia as the Destination Of The Year and what I've seen so far confirms that.

Plitvice Lakes/Zadar, Croatia
THURSDAY, JUNE 12, 2008

Zagreb, Croatia I have arrived in Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. This Balkan city of about one million people offers the latest in high fashion shopping, countless cafes on pedestrian only promenades, museums, galleries and much more. It's a mix of Old World charm and the Western World and I'm ready for the experience. Zagreb is just the beginning I will also be traveling to other areas within Croatia - Rastoke, Plitvice National Park, the city of Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik and then sailing to the Islands of Korcula and Hvar.
